No way I'm dropping $65,000 for one of those sh!tboxes either. I have one more debt to pay off thanks to our gov't and wall street from the '08 debacle and I'm back into saving for a boat. I know what I'm going to get tagged with but I'm in, it'll be a keeper for a loooong time.
Not sure why GM goes big on the MSRP then discounts heavily. I friend got a '17 Tahoe LTZ for 12K off sticker. Truck came with everything but 4WD/Sunroof. It even had 2 sets of floormats, electric running boards, 22's. Worst part is it is light gold with brown interior........hurts your eyes a bit

New Laveycraft 24 Nuera for $77k... Also agree Superboat would be a good place to look as well.

The closest thing that I know of is the new Doug Wright designed 28 that can be purchased "hull, windshield, full interior, fuel tanks, and on a top notch Strongback trailer" for 80K. The boat will run 120 with twin 300 mercs so there are several options available for power. Rigging again can range from 6K to 40K depending on who and what you use. I don't know of any other "new" boat especially with this performance and quality for anywhere close to this cost.

Just to show how preposterous the new boat market is, here is an example of out of reach this hobby is becoming for all but the wealthy.

I get Boating magazine and this is typical for their feature reviews:
Crownline E29 XS powered by twin 250 Yamaha OBs. $229,000. Nice boat for family day cruising or anchoring in a cove and spending time, no overnight accommodations. Really? $229,000 for a 29' boat? What typical family can afford this? Mortgage, food (which is also crazy expensive now), taxes, school tuition, retirement savings, cars (to pull the boat you need a $60,000 truck now!) and you're supposed to either have a quarter mil laying around or get into another huge loan?

I must be missing something...seriously.

I'm getting confused.....

Im starting to wonder if this about the cost of boats, the cost of living, or household income. Which is the biggest problem?

that is correct 24 Lavey Craft for 1 heck price. And not a chopper gun built boat either. http://www.riverdavesplace.com/forum...ght=Laveycraft.

The 24 is the size of most other brands 25 to 26 footers.

and Prob a 26 Lavey for under 100 K and the 26 Lavey is the size of most other brands 27.5 to 28 footers.

If you're in the Canadian market, add 5% for all labeling to be bilingual and a minimum of 25% for the exchange. Curiously, when the Canadian dollar gains ground and acceptable time is allowed for inventory cycling, prices don't drop.
