Question Is it BAD when you pull the drain plug on your gear case.....

and NOTHING comes out? Not even WATER? Maybe THAT is why the drive broke?

No that is totally normall...... Oh waite you ran it like that Dude that SUCKS!!!! OUCH. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Jon,

Funny thing is, I was going to change the oil before I went "just to be safe", but got busy, and said, "it only has one or two runs on it, it should be fine..." Next time, I will DEFINITELY check it. At least it isn't July 4th.

To top it all off, last night I re-filled teh case with oil to prevent rust and this morning NO OIL leaking out anywhere!

Shane, I always check my lower plug about every other run just to make sure, sorry to hear about the bad news, Christmas is coming so I know what you want so be good and maybe you'll get a gear set!

I would put a preasure pump on it and pump it up..... Something sounds fishy... You could have had the oil leak out the top drive shaft gasket but I would think that water would have replaced the oil........
