Sand them down then use mothers aluminum polish and a buffer-you will get the "polished lower" look without spending al the loot. And in my opinion not does it only look nice but it is also alot smoother(less drag as long as you keep up on the polish) through the water. Lets face it we will take any extra mph's even if it is a tiny fraction!

I HAD A TRS WITH SALT WATER PITTING AND DESPITE SANDING AND REPAINTION WITH A QUALITY PAINT AND SEALING IT WITH CLEAR ANTI FOULING IT STILL CORRODED FROM UNDER THE PAINT, MAKE SURE YOU GRIND ALLL THE COROSION OUT SO ONLY FRESH ALUMINUM IS EXPOSSED.

And if your ever gonna leave it in the water again, dont use imron. Proper prep is a lot of work and if corroded, rarely successful without bead blasting and filling. If I were you, Id send them to Doller Marine. Ive heard good stuff about there coatings and prep work.
