New or used.. you can't really go wrong with a Pantera.
I actually went to Jo last year looking to do a new 28 with a single 496ho...
Then I saw my boat sitting there waiting for me...
My boat is a '99, and I had initially walked right past it because I thought it was a new boat and would be too much $$ with the twins...
The prior owner had taken very good care of it, and Jo gave it their blessing.
The boat has been fantastic. And the Nunez family has been wonderful.

The moral of my story- Don't hesitate to buy new or used directly from Pantera. My entire experience with them has been extremely positive.

And, My boat is for sale too. (I'm trying to go P racing in a Pantera) I'll be happy to sell it to you, or you can always take delivery of this boat through Pantera. Jo and Pepe will both vouch for my boat...

We put standard on every boat the best parts for rough water abuse. For Example : custom K- planes with Pantera logos embosed into them, solid race motor mounts, ( 2 ) custom made race battery boxes, Gaffrig instrumentation with colored bezels, race throttles w/ trim switch, Pirelli flooring, cockpit cover, 4 blade prop,
indicator panel, through transom exhaust, custom Pantera embroidery, just to name a few "standard" parts that come on each boat.

Complete 28' with a single 496 HO - 425 HP Mercruiser package will price out in the $ 79,000 range complete.

How many boat companies put the real price? Pantera and Superboats do who else?

Corrado-
COme on down to the factory and drive a single 28 and a twin 28. That will help you better determine which boat is for you...

We did a "cruise" this weekend from Port Everglades to Boca inlet in 3-4'.
My twin 502mpi boat cruised at 2800rpm at 40mph with everything tucked in for a smooth ride.
Props never left the water, and the woman was happy with the ride. (I wanted to haul Azz, but the rev limiter in the left seat wanted 40mph)

This boat stays in the water very well for a 28' boat.

Hugh,

Boat is all back together now, and new customer will be racing it in P class this year.

Boat hit a tree at high speed on I-95 near Jacksonville.

Regards,

Jo

For me really, it is all going to depend on what is available when I am ready to buy. I would buy a new Superboat, or a used Pantera 28 with twin big blocks. If there is a used Pantera around with twin 502's/496HO's available in my price range when I get serious. But also, if there is a used 33 powerplay available in that price range I would look at that too!

CRAP, I did it again! As soon as I decide on the boat I want, I start to change my mind!!!!!

I CAN'T DECIDE WHAT BOAT I WANT!!!!!!!

Tim G.- I would come look at your boat if I was in the market right now! How much does it weigh including the trailer?

I don't have the exact weight. But The boat will weigh in at about 7,000, plus fuel. Trailer is about 1,000lb.

I'm going to take the boat off the market once the race season starts. I'm not going to sell if I can't go racing...
So, this boat may be available next year if you're ready then...
