Default Photobucket no longer "free"

Photobucket is disabling what they referred to as "Free 3rd Party Hosting" - so if you're using it to host pics for a thread, your images will be blocked from hosting. They're charging people in the uk 400 *pounds* to allow the linking. Rumour has it this is a last ditch attempt to get cashflow into photobucket before it goes the way of imageshack...

I checked some of my pics. This is what I got.Name: streetshot_zpsa8ec83z8.png

I use PB extensively, can you explain what 3rd party means?

All of my pics seem to still be displaying correctly ==> http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/d...race-boat.html

Thanks in advance

Third party hosting is what they call the service of you putting your images on their site. Do you already pay?

I Don't pay...yet...so not sure why my pics are still able to be displayed.

Hoping that I can afford their US fees...or I will have to search for a free picture site

Its unfortunate that OSO doesn't embrace face book. If they did, this site will be used more and uploading pics and posting (words) would be better and free.

Yep, destroyed my 5 plus year restoration thread.
Sorry, but 400 bucks a year is insane to host pics on the web.
