Default Any SC Merc Owners Around Austin TX?

I've got a "new-to-me" Formula 353 Fastech with modified 525SCs and I'm looking for other owners of SC Mercs near Austin who have wrenching-level knowledge of these engines. I'm not looking for someone to work on them, I'm looking for someone with mechanical experience to bounce questions off of and maybe drink a beer or two.

Thanks.

My bad, I thought you were another user I knew a while back. I am east of Houston so not very close. his user name is very similar. Good luck with the boat.

My shop use to see these back in the day and I have all related service manuals for them plus the list of SB's that pertained according to engine serial numbers

Well I guess I am the Lone Ranger with 525SCs around Austin. Anyone else out there with these ANYWHERE that are wrenching and maintaining them yourselves? I'd like to have a call and ask a few questions.

Thanks.

Griff knows these engines very well. He doesn't live in TX, but PM him, he might have some answers for ya.
