Default Exhaust tips..Fastech

Has anyone takin there factory tips off under the silent thunder box? Are they just screwed in or do they have 5200 on them also...

It simply unbolts. Add the flappers to the existing tips and enjoy

I boat on lake winni in NH. I will get a ticket the first time out. I need to replace with Corsa baffled tips..

Oh. Gotcha. Never had the tips off, but if you going to run a muffler anyway, why not just continue to run the S/T?

the raw SS tips are screwed on and bedded in 5200
Have fun!

Been there done that!

there is a very thin line of heat that will soften the 5200 and not scorch the surrounding gel.
I tried the release crap that is supposed to soften 5200, it was worthless!

My S/T box has had it.. I was afraid of that Rippem.. I think I will just try and fix the box for now because this has turn out to be a big pain in the butt!! If I just put flaps on a hope I don't get a ticket will I have to worry about water going back up the tips?

No. Pretty much how 99% who remove the silent thunder box do it.
