Wow! I feel sorry for that Donzi.
I'll follow this one (just out of curiosity) with a starting bid of 5,000. The vendor removed the engines and also the speakers. Remove the speakers? Are they made of gold? There's probably a good reason for that but it eludes me.

It's probably a theft recovery boat that someone picked up at an auction.

Minor hull damage LOL! This boat was on FB last week posted by a friend of the owner. He was helping the owner part it out. I called on it and the story I was told by his friend is that the owner hit a seawall up near Chicago doing about 70 mph. The friend owns a 47 Fountain, is an ex-racer and knows boats and said the hull was toast - totaled - not worth dime so he was trying to sell everything on the boat from seats to gauges.

Guess they are fishing for a Ebay sucker who thinks the hull can just be patched up.

This boat was at the fiberglass guy next door to us where the insurance company totaled it. True the boat hit the breakwall in Chicago at night. There was not much value to anything on the boat except for maybe the motors. The drives and ITS and props were messed up. The interior was heavily worn and the trailer was rusted and in poor shape.

Its really a shame to see dishonest people like this attempting to take advantage of someone.

If it was totaled I wonder if it went through the auction process and the owner bought it back or its a new owner trying to pull something.

When I called on the boat last week I was told that the owner who wrecked it was parting it out. I assume he's the one selling it but I guess someone could have bought the whole boat from him. Either way it sounds like someone isn't being upfront.

The guy listing it has zero knowledge of the boat or boats. He had no idea what stagger was or what transom's are.

when I asked he was sitting on an offer of 10k..

Stagger is when you have too much to drink!

Where is Jim Darr when you need him.......him and the seller of this fine opportunity could really have a great conversation!

Would anyone seriously buy a black Donzi after seeing this and the dubstep wave launch 43?
