Congrats to Carrabas for another Pantera win :p

Carabbas was unopposed but a win is a win. You have to go out and do the laps.
The doctor will remember his 50th forever. I hope the call on the webcast was correct.
I only counted about 16 boats in 7 classes. If the APBA continues to race in the Bahamas they should probably do it in the middle of the season when more boats are in the running for the championship.

what were the water conditions.?

raynman 10-19-2002 04:35 PM

Magicfloat,
Your mail box is full. They called Chris Reindl and the doctor the winners when they handed out the checkered flags. I've checked
the results page frequently but nothing is up yet.

Nasty Habit,
Water conditions were good, I think they mentioned a little
rough near a reef. Several times they mentioned boats catching a lot of air but overall I think the conditions were good.

Thanks,Raynman.your info is correct. I talked to Dr. Harlan's wifeand he is pretty excited about the win. A nice finish for a nice guy.

Magic Float,
Are you saying that the doctor celebrated his 50th in the Bahamas
without his wife. Or did you call her over there?

Magicfloat 10-19-2002 05:32 PM

Raynman,Gwen and John are both in the Bahamas, she helped score the laps. An exciting time for both,I think they may be planning for Key West now,as my wife Karen and I are. Should be fun for all of us.The Batboat rental program seems to be a great way to get more people into offshore racing.Chris Reindl seems to have momentum going for him and his clients. MagicFloat
