This was a good year. I ended up with 125 hours. This is true run time.

MrCIG 10-21-2002 10:26 AM

83 hours last year and 86 this year. And lots of time at the beach.

RUSSSR1 10-21-2002 10:47 AM

45 hours run time, 4 gallons of Captin, Beers who counts, beach hours off Wilmette endless. Unfortunatly we only started this season in July. It just does not look like we will get our last day this year, the cold moved in and won't go away, of course untill I winterize the boat.

What amazed me in the past average speed during a day boating
a lot of times was only 6 to 10 miles per hour in a day do to no wake zones .. so I guess in many instances a boat with 600 hours 2/3 of it might be no wake speeds

What does this mean?

Looking at the responses, and throwing out Cord and Geo100 (sorry guys), it looks like the average run time is between 87 and 88 hours a season. As Turbo2256 points out, how many of these hours are at low speeds? Look at the GPS read-outs that have been posted on some high speed runs. Average speeds even with these blasts are low.

So back to my question; What is a reasonable and realistic warranty period expressed in hours for a HP powertrain?
100?
150?
200?
An interesting way to look at it I think!!!
