Hi. Just thought I'd let you know that Barb and I won't be able to do an overnight in Beautiful Hammond next Sat. The Residence Inn (the only motel that accepts pets) has a $75.00 upcharge per night for pets (a tad pricey for us). We're trying to figure out a way to still make it to the party but I'll need to keep you posted. Thanks. Dave R.

$75 for what? That's bull sh*t. Your 2 dogs together can't weigh 10 Lbs. Tell them you want to be charged by the pound.

I hope you guys still make. Let me know

Mark

Yes, I think it's just an easy way to get another "fee". They insist tey have to fumigate the room after we leave just in case the next room occupants have any allergies to pets. I'll let you know what's going on as soon as I can. We may have to wait until you guys do another Buster and Dave's (did I get that right?) get-together. D&B

HAMMOND, INDIANA 46323

Thay usually only ask for a refundable deposit.

Sorry, scratch that they closed. Don't know why they still get listed on some websites. The closest holiday Inn is about 10 miles according to www.holiday-inn.com

Crazyhorse,
Those guys are whacked! Did you guys have any luck yet? There aren’t a lot of choices right in Hammond. Merrillville has quite a few nice places but it’s at least 30 miles from the Marina. Along the expressway, 94, there are a few Hotels also. I'm not sure about the pets.

Wally got the D&B gathering together last year. I don’t know if he is going to try to do it again this year. It was great time!

At this point we don't have a motel but we'll keep you posted. We may just drive down for the party and head home at a reasonable hour. What time does it start?

I've got bad news. I caught the flu and won't be able to make it Saturday night. Please let me know if I owe you for the dinners. Dave
