tunastink, you can't even come close to putting this in a car...

timucin, thats called compound supercharging - but your already knew that didn't you...

HH, thats exactly what I'm talking about. But where's the trans? Opps, you don't ski race do you? How do you like the Autronics? Looks to me like you've got all you can put in a pleasure boat on pump gas. The new (larger) turbos/wastegates/innercoolers and cam combos are really produceing almost unusable horsepower (did I say that?)...

Burt, Are you a ski racer? I am seriously considering putting together a low compression (8.0:1) 572 short block and putting a V-drive oil pan on it. I have been very impressed by the performance claims of the V-drive ski racer type boats and if the claims are true I want one!!! I really like the 21 Schiada River Cruiser with full pleasure boat interior. I know 1100 HP on pump gas is attainable with a blown 572 if it is done right. Turbos are real cool too, but as you stated these motors are high dollar to build and from what I have heard require race fuel???? Anyway what can you tell me about the 21 Schiada? How will it run with 1100 HP? Will it do 100 on radar? I love the idea of getting away from the Bravo outdrive and getting into something that has a "bullett proof driveline" so some serious torque, power, and RPM can be run without any worries. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig.

Hey those aren't my setups...IMHO, those ski-racers are flippin' NUTS...ooops...no offence! http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy06.gif

wette vette, I had 3 (three) 21 Schiada's during my ski racing days, all with turbo's, automatics and V-drives. They are the ultimate in fun, fun, fun...
100 mph on pump gas is marginal but can be obtained, on AV gas it easy, but from 1000 hp and up, the cheapest insurance you can buy is race fuel.
I get the opportunity once in a while to drive one of the race boats with 1600 hp, automatic but with a #6 dri sump. Its hard to imagine anything faster from 0 to 100+, its handles very well and is very predictable...

havasu h, well the big Hallett is being dissasembled for the trip back to the factory for the front door installation. A 40 Hallett without a front door is difficult on Nancy as she has trouble loading a 100 lbs of food/beverages over the side while on the trailer. Also, when we go cold water boating, she gets testy if she has to swim from the beach out to the swim step...

I hear ya on the door...just watch your head when getting in (Jerry will attest)...

100lbs of food? I gotta hang around you guys more often!

How about some pics? We missed you guys at the AHBA Poker Run...

I saw these on another thread (Hallet Vectors):

If I'm not mistaken, Randy's blue 210 had the six drive removed and replaced with 2 (two) IMCO Xtremes. That required removal also of one of the sets of cav plates. (Note to east-coasties: one set on the V, one set parallel to the water. Some guy got all pissy with me when I mentioned this in the past). I hope they run this boat more next ski-race season. FYI, they are testing it without the trans...
