need info on little scat cat
 

A friend found a little 12-13' scat cat with a trailer and no motor . He says it needs work . I know you guys know about them so I need some advise . They want $1000 for it . What do you think?
Please give me any and all details you can on this minny cat . It says max hp 25 ?? IS this right ? Can it carry 2 adults with that power ,and how fast ? How does it ride ? IS it a "wet" ride ? THanks for any help you can give ! I don't want to miss it if it is a good deal . It sounds a little high to me . I don't know . THanks ,JOE

don't know much about them but i do know there was one in the boat trader with an enginr and trailer that looked nice for $850.00.

And i believe they can handle up to a 50hp outboard. :)

Hi Joe, I think $1000 is to high of a price, I picked one up this summer, it needs a little work, but nothing that keeps it from running. I paid $500 for it boat, Johnson 25HP, and a trailer.

There is also a very nice one on E-Bay, it looks very clean and has a 60 HP Johnson on it.

Thanks guys ! That one on ebay looks nice . 60hp and 60 mph is mooving in that thing !! I wonder if anyone ever blew one over ! :eek: Anyone know what years they were made ? that add says they were only made a few years and they were built to race . Or anyothers for sale ? A V bottom might work too . Like a "SOS" boat or "Bullet" . Has to be the right price ! Thanks , JOE

I've got one with a 35 Hp on it and it runs about 30-35. It will plane with 2 adults, but it's work. It gets wet at about a 6-10" chop. I may be doing electric trim on it this winter to see if I can trim it up and dry it out. It does sit up nice and level at speed and I have never felt it get light.
