Pluck the feathers.
Large bites to get it over with quickly.
Wash down with silver bullets.
Follow up with humble pie.

Does this mean money will be spent this winter?

Take a large pot of water, put an oven brick in it. Put in the crow, add salt and pepper, boil for two days. Throw the crow away and eat the brick. Just be sure not to follow the crow dinner with a plate of sour grapes!:)
