Where should I look to get down to the worlds from Detroit as far as Airlines go? Where do we fly into and how close to the Keys can we get. My wife works for G.M.and has passes from the Vortec Group to see Fri,Sat,Sun, is anyone going from this area please give me some insight..... Thx. Bill & Julie

you fly all the way into key west intl. airport. but it will cost some extra cash. for less than that your best bet is to fly to miami or fort lauderdale and rent a car. it is a great drive thru the keys 130 miles of 35-50 mph. drive. alot of fun during the day. not so much fun at night. if you have never driven it , i recomend it. good luck

I used to religiously use www.Travelocity.com. I have since been converted to www.orbitz.com.
The only thing you will have to do to check yourself; is checkout www.southwest.com. Southwest will low-ball the other airlines and other websites, as they do NOT participate in any of the above sites.

While Filnt is a nice airport, Air Tran leaves a lot to be desired, based on my experience. Their service to Lauderdale connects through Atlanta. # times they have stranded me in Atlanta. Apirit Airlines out of Metro is usually a better price, and flies into Fort Lauderdale. I prefer FLL as it is a more user friendly airport that Miami. By the way, Spirit flies non-stop.
