Chucky..........you know my vote..........Almost bought a Pantera last year. For a boat that hasn't changed much over the past yearts, it's a great looking, great riding boat for it's size. Anyways, check out their website. www.panteraboats.com...........They have quote a few owners pics too.
There's one for sale there - - - They claim :
99 Pantera 28
1999 Single 700 HP with Bravo 1 drive. Custom made 5 man bolster with half cabin.
Top speed 90 MPH
There's also one with 900 HP, with a number 3 drive on it.........if you can find one rigged like this, no more bang, zoom..........grab a beer while you get towed back & make the immediate call to VISA to check the available balance - - Saying this jokingly of course from experience.................

RJ

I haven't seen a powerplay up close but a 29 Fountain is just a touch shy of 100 with a 496HO. I won't tell you what I paid for my boat but I have a 575, ITS and as many options that have been hung on a 28 Pantera in some time and I would puts it's price sheet up against any of the afore mentioned boats.
Here is the Photoshop drawing I did for my paint. I can say Jo and Pepe build a boat to order!

Joey,
Used without power would be perfect. New I just don't know.... I just can't see spending what Merc and allot of other engine builders charge for their motors. I know I can build it for less.

The 1999 that ratchet spoke of on the Pantera web site is mine. The boat is in awesome shape. Since I bought the Activator last year I have only ran the Pantera 11 times. The motor was just gone through from bare block and repainted lime green to match the interior. It has nothing but Dyno time on it. It has a 509 merlin with a BDS 8-71 blower(700hp) The interior was redone in April. It has a half cabin with a 10 disc changer. The boat is on a South Florida trailer and can be had for $60,000 The boat will run close to 90mph. I have a video of jo and I racing the boat in Baltimore APBA 2000. We won P-3 that day against a 388 slingshot, a 30 something Sunsation and a 24 skater. It was my first checkerd flag so I remembr it well. If you would like to see the Video I would be glad to send it to you.
