Bulldog motors
This may be a stupid question, but I've seen motors listed that are 540 or 500 "bulldogs" What is a "bulldog" motor and what makes it unique?
Where could I go to find specs on a 500 bulldog? I'm looking for all the info I can get, I need a "Bulldog for Dummies" education. Thanks! |

You could build a better Bulldog using larger port, higher CR aluminum heads, roller cam, and a 1050 Holley.

Was there a downside to them??
I think they were pricey compared to the hp500.

I kindof like the name...

Well, looking at the HP vs cubic inches, it should be a relaible package that makes decent torque. I recall looking at them a while ago, and they were a highr cost than the HP 500 (502)
Heck, it looks like there's some decent parts in there.....should work well with a solid roller, blower, and new valve springs..but then you lose the reliability |

Yep...Great package to throw forced induction on.
You had the option of 3A's or even 5'swith them. My buddy has a 42 Tiger/BravoXR's with Bulldogs and threw some Mega 420's on top of them....gained like 10+ mph. Before... |
