what can these systems be used with?
Can you upgrade an older setup?
I have am currently being harrased by my local cat experts all 2 of them :) to put on extension boxes
I have twin stock 502's on a 1999 28' Advantage Sportcat
They seem to think it will get me better hole shots, top speed, and better running in the rough.

Just curious if this is only for the newer bravo setups.
Also what all do you get in the kit?

Thanks

Is this kit a simple bolt-up procedure to upgrade a late model Bravo set-up? Is all the hardware and steering accessories req'd for install supplied?

Thanks.

MnFastBoat & BajaDaze,
The transom assemblies come with Mercury Racings external
steering. You will also have to upgrade your standard Bravo I
with a longer input shaft. The I.T.S. transom assy uses the same transom cut out as the standard transom assy. You might have to raise you X dimension to get the full benefit of the 7 inch set back. You might have to do some glass work. If you guys are running external steering at the present time it will be cheaper for you to put on standard 12 inch stand off boxes. The transom assy comes complete ready to install. Any other questions give me a jingle at the office.

Thanks Good Fella
I was afraid of that
My assembly is already as high as it can go without cutting more into the swim step.
The top of the Gimbal is already about 3/16" into the bottom of the molded swim step. This is where I fear the worse and would have ot cut into the under side of it :(
I already have external steering. Looking into a full add-on Hydrualic set up. Tired of the cable drag :( It is nice, but hate it more when i run the port motor out of gas and have no steering.

Thanks for this information and as always will keep it in the back of my mind to pass onto others.
