Broadcast Airtime-Dogs vs. Boats
 

I was just tuned into the Notre Dame vs. Rutgers game on NBC when they cut to a commercial promoting the upcoming telecast of the National Dog Show! You mean to tell me that a bunch of dogs walking and prancing in a circle is more worthy of broadcast air time than boat racing? What am I missing?

Dude the problem is we a very few in numbers that care about boat racing. My problem with going to watch a race is it is like watching someone else have sex. It is only worth a damn if you are doing it. I've been going to races since 77-78 to watch the boat" Can Do" from my town and a racer since 86 .They have to make festivals to go along with the race to make it apeal to the public and not be so boring. The old races were a party ,period, but were fun as hell. Boat racing did start from people on the family channel anyway. It needs more beer drinkers and hell raisers to spark this sport again

If it makes you feel any better...Dog show politics are even worse then Boat racing politics.
