Default Clarion Marine Head Units

A friend is looking to:

Have 2 or 3 sets of pre-amp outputs.
Be able to direct hook up and control an Ipod.
Be able to direct hook up and control a CD Changer.
Be able to direct hook up and control XM radio.
Have wired and wireless remote capability.

I am pretty sure Clarion has a model that does this, but there are others further in the know than I am.

Thanks in advance.

Clarion will be fine except Clarion is Sirius, not XM.

I think Pioneer makes one and the waterproof remote mimics the Ipod display and it has xm capabilities

Kenwood & Clarion are both Sirius ready, but you can buy an adapter box that lets you use an XM receiver. I have the Kenwood MP400MR which can play mp3 & wma on top of everything originally listed.

I have the newest Clarion marine radio in stock and also the Pioneer marine remote that allows you to plug into the Pioneer automotive line.

Call me at 813-882-8477 for great deals and advice on marine, car or home theater products.

If you want to add more amps Rich, I suggest going to a Head Unit with 3 sets of Pre-Amp Outputs like I have (RCA outputs to the amps), one for Front, one for Rear, and one for Subs. It makes things easier and you don't have so much crossover work and tuning to do.

Alpine will do all the above. They are also one of the only one's that have XM and Sirius capability. I do not know if they have a wired remote but the upper end decks all come with a wireless remote.

Ipod adapter.

i have a Clarion CMD4, used it for about a month, 300.00 if anyone wants it. will not fit in new boat. it is missing one of the small knobs (no idea how that happened), had it hooked up with i-pod and sirius and it was great. hate to get rid of it but it wont fit any where. Replaced a head unit that had amps daisy chained together, and wow what a difference.
