Record Breaking Scarab Panther
Does anyone know the setup they were running on the Scarab Panther that broke 100mph???
What drives? What Power? Any details would be appreciated!! |
i just looked at that boat a month or so ago to do a little touch up on the graphics this winter. very nice setup. i think they were imco extremes ( i may be wrong).big'ol blower motors too. the owner is on the board here somewhere, i'm sure he will post in.

Panther,
The broad brush is as follows: Max Machine 1.50 Bravo uppers, Inco lower units, Stellings ext. boxes. Prop shafts 1.5" below the bottom of the boat, Side by side engine installation, Bravo 1 - 28" labbed props (rotating in), 1400+ hp (6950+ rpm in Kilo run). Total weight 8020 (no fuel or crew). I lot of bottom work and Lake X time to figure it all out...I bought the boat new in 1987. If you want any more info, please give me call. 214 221 1007. Sprague Mullikin |
