When we were racing the kryptonite he always made a point to come tell us he liked the color of our boat. That was classic Haggin. He’d have the biggest, baddest show at the race, but make a point to hangout with the smaller teams. That spirit is lost these days.
RIP to a real legend.

I just read about the passing of John Haggin and remember seeing him many time at the St. Clair River Classic as the guy who would walk around the Pit Area and be wearing work boots and colourful shorts just like everyone else. This man was responsible for bringing the fastest man in the World on water Ken Warby to the races and there was no Team like the AMF Miss Geico Race Team with their Caravan of trucks and boats, he was Mr. Offshore. RIP
