I've never ringed mine. Had it about two years now and road the hell out of it. When it comes time to rebuild I'll probably just buy another motor for no more then they cost. It'll be time to buy when this one quits for good. I'd say at this rate it will be a few more years though. These things are almost bullet proof.
I've also done the compression, timing, carbs, and all the other goodies. Even take the washer off the spark plug for that extra bit of compression. We run case stuffers on ours too.
I'm running just shy of 30 mph myself. I'm running a 750 spindle though. I like my bottom end.
