That's not what you want. You know what you need.

Everyone that I have talked to that has the hynautic system is real happy with it. They work fine, just do not look as nice as a stainless set up. I think they brass plate them or something.

Puder, way back Hynautic brass cylinders were used with Char Lyn helms for full power hyrdraulic steering, there was not much else around. Latham started to manufacture his own cylinders, first out of brass then stainless. In fact I had some stainless cylinders made around 1979 and Latham bought a couple. THey were not much to look at, but at least they were stainless. Then Then the other guys jumped on board. However the bulk of the Hynautic systems I have seen use aluminum cylinders with manual helms. The brass one has 4 external tie rods that hold the ends on the cylinder.

The cylinders are nickel plated brass. They hold up fine to salt water. The rebuild kits are still available. Most used a 14 piston helm so the steering is a little stiff.

New or used? Do you want just cylinders or the whole setup?
I'm not sure if they make a power assisted helm.

My brother in-law has hynautic external steering setup on his 1981 28 SS Cigarette. It's been on the boat for about 15 years and is holding up fine (used in salt & fresh water). The steering is not power assist - a little hard to turn and it takes many turns of the wheel to turn the boat. It’s great for high speed but not so good around the docks. If you do not have twins - don't even think about it.
