Procharging A 280 Silencer
Looking to buy a used procharger from the classiefied section. Can I self install this on my single 502 mag mpi and if so what all would I need besides the m1 kit. What results in performance can I expect. I plan on running it about 3psi for maximum reliabilty.
Thanks for any and all input.

Martin,
I have a chance to buy a motor already fitted with a procharger, but have decided against it. From what I understand it creates more of a maintenance problem, changing oil, spark plugs more often that it is worth. Besides that, I think the 280 would be unstable driving it at 80+ mph. The motor with the procharger I'm talking about is now in a 272 Baja and that boat is very squirrelly at 80 mph. And to top all of that off, you'll blow me out the water!
