Question Where do I get Best Price on a Aluminum Swim Platform

A Buddy of mine is wanting to get a Aluminum Swim Platform made for his boat. He has tried Extreme Marine but he thought the price seemed a little high!?!? I don't know how much these things usually cost. Has anyone bought one lately? How much did it cost?

I'm going to give him the phone number to B-Bracket this evening. Any other suggestions??

I bought my platform for the Cig from Aluminum Marine Products in the Ft Lauderdale or Miami area. They make the platforms for Cigarette. They had a great price as I remember but the exact $ slips my mind

7 years old... BUT, I was just looking around for one for myself, and the cheapest I have found is on e-bay, $999 plus shipping made to fit your boat. Don't know how good the craftsmanship is, but it's a starting point anyway. Here's the link- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ALUMI...spagenameZWDVW

I am using http://www.westcoastoffshoreunlimited.com/ to make step plates for gunwales. May want to see what their platforms run for what you want.

Extreme Marine make most of the factory platforms for Baja and if you compare prices you will find they are the best for the price. If they dont have it in stock they will custom make it for you

Old thread!

If you want cheap (cost and build) price around. If you want quality, call Kevin at west coast offshore unlimited. He builds for Lip-Ship, Nor-Tech, Dragon, Hallet, Advantage, to name only a few off the top of my head. He can also CNC anything custom your heart desires.

He made our swim step, steps and glove box...All custom.

What is the weight on a platform like Tanks or the Extreme tubular style? I would love to have one but the added weight waaay back on a cat is tough on performance.

Kevin makes both styles (and some others as well). Call him for the weight. I believe the tubular model is actually heavier. My style doesn't have the bars that hang down the side and the flat portion of the step is thin but durable.
