Add me to the Statistics of Job loss

Just received my notice.
Was terminated from my first job in the 20 years I have been in the work force.

Had the option of being let go or take a job with a 30,000/yr pay cut.

Any one buy a boat??

Serious, pay the loan off and its yours. Trust me it is a steal.

Reason for being termed, because I suspended someone for job insubordination!

I did my job and I get canned.

Talk about management support!

Buy now

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Companies are laying off allot right now to make things look better in the last quarter.

Ford just laid off 1000 contract (SDRC) designers and what they were told was you will be hired back after the first of the year. The reason for the layoffs they were told is to pad the stock for the end of the year. Funny how this never made it to the news.

Mn,

Firstly, sorry to hear about your dilemma. I suggest you talk to a lawyer who specializes in workplace discrimination and document everything, even with written notes. You should not be punished for doing your job, this sounds like the co. is looking for every excuse to get rid of middle mgmt.

Secondly, take the pay cut to not lose a pension.
Third, post your boat in the OSO ads and boat for sale sect. and add details

Illegitumus non carborundum- don't let the bastards wear you down.

Wannabe

PS lots of this sh*$%t goin round

Thanks
It is going to be a difficult one.
I will be taking the lower job just to keep some money flowing.
But kinda hard to know that in less then one week I will be making 60% less then I was this week.

Absolutly serious about this sale

Ah well. Just think of it as an opportunity to pursue that job you've always wanted. Maybe you'll end up with an even bigger and better boat....
