I don't know if I would buy a truck with a lift. I always do that myself so I know what I have, the grade of bolts, tappered blocks, torqued right, spring rate and steering arm. Some hackers just block the whole thing or cut corners. You can always take it apart and inspect it for safety. Otherwise it is up to your personal liking. It looks great so if the price is right you can always upgrade the lift if needed.

Good advice here. Personally, if you like the truck, and there are many out there that DO like the lifted Super Duties, I would not be afraid of it. Look at the springs and try and identify them. Check the drop bracket and drag link to see if they are quality items. See if the rear is a block lift or a spring lift. An 8 inch lift is probably all spring which is to your advantage. I would be VERY surprised if someone put a block lift(front) on an 01 Super Duty. If you have a 4X4 shop around, see if they can identify which lift is used. The bottom line, if you buy a truck that is not lifted and want to lift it, the cost will be around $2900.00. If you are planning on customizing a truck, this may well save you some money. When negotiating the price, use the lift to your advantage by deducting a certain amount off, even though you want it. Like others posted, most times a lift will hamper a sale rather that benefit said sale. Some like lifted trucks, some don't. I lifted both my Super Duty and Excursion. The wife hates them, but I like them. The Super Duties are very easy to lift and they work very well when lifted, as long as it is not a ridiculous lift. Everyone has their opinions, that's what makes us each unique. My 02.

The lift on the truck is an 8" Skyjacker. It is an all spring lift, no blocks. The truck is selling for $34,495.00. So far I have gotten them down to $32,000.00. What do you guys think? Only 16,000 miles on this truck.

The lower miles are probably due to the speedo not being re-calibrated when the lift and tires were put on. Still, in this area a PSD that clean would bring $26-30K and have been a hard find.

Good Luck!
