Hey you Virginians!

Did you know you could get a gas tax rebate if you buy your boat gas in VA? I'll see if I can dig up the website.

Are there any other states that do this?

Do you have to be a resident of the state you apply for a rebate from?

The fed rebate requires you to be a commercial operation, so it's a false hope for most of us. If you want to save the tax, you need to find a wholesaler that is selling offroad fuel.

In ct as long as you purchase more then 250 gallons for your boat you can get a refund from the state.

We've been getting the NH rebate for a bunch of years. Averages a couple of hundred bucks. You don't need to be a resident, only have proof of your purchases. Applies to all non-roadway uses (lawn equipment, snowmobiles, etc.) Pretty simple form. No minimum purchase, etc.

Anyone know if there is a refund program in place in NJ? I checked the state website, but can only find information for collecting taxes if i sell gas. Typical, they tell me how how to give them $$$, not how to get it back.....
