P class question

What are the different P classes?
Size, Power, Speed?

Thanks!...Mark

Pete B 01-03-2003 05:00 AM

P-5 70 mph
P-4 80
P-3 90
P-2 100
P-1 110
There is no rules as to size power just speed.

I don't think there are any restrictions as to size, power or drive choice. The classes are broken down by speed.

There is also a Px class for the all out boats.

Does anyone know the equation they use to equate the speed of your boat??

MnFastBoat 01-03-2003 12:17 PM

does the P class have to be V only or can it be a Cat???

Maybe i should race :)

NOT!! ;)

BODYSHOT1 01-03-2003 12:23 PM

can be Cat or Vee...Speed is the only factor....

Allen, try this, it's very accurate. Basically, prop pitch x gear reduction x RPM x slip factor x hull drag.

do they radar you for top speed???
how do you depict what class??
say my boat does 80 can top oout higher on a perfect day but 80 is the normal
or do they use what someone said about a theory calculation?
