Default NE1 have Progressive Insurance? How are they?

Looking to possibly switch from USAA for my new M3 and got a quote that was $350 under USAA with better coverage... BUT want to know NE1 has had any experiences with them for cars.

Talk to a body shop, they're the experts on who pays.

Thumbs down

I don't know about their car insurance but for BOATS...run the other way!!!
Dude they are the biggest piece of COW ***T that ever existed!!
All I can tell you is that they took over 6 MONTHS to settle the claim on a boat that was stolen from me.

PROGRESSIVE SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!

But hey I don't hold a Grudge or anything..

Be very cautious of auto insurers who provide boat insurance........

First time I called Progressive to get a quote on my boat they said they dont insure boats with more than 350 h.p.. Not to long ago I saw where they had an ad saying they had special boat insurance program, since I had my autos there I decided to call them again. After asking all of the required info they ask, the last question was speed.. They said "We dont do boats that run over 70 mph" Leaves me out again!

i have been in the auto body biz since 1975, before progressive, its not that they have a bad pay record but as for as the auto claims they write allot of aftermarket parts, and it a consent hassel to get them to pay for the needed repairs, dont get me
wrong all of the company's out there are a hassel but progressive seem to be one og the worst as for as getting paid to do the job right just my 2cents plus

I have my cars with them and kissed a guard rail with my Audi a month ago and they were right on and very competent. They covered my boats before but I never had a claim so I cannot give an assesment on that they were marginaly cheaper for the boat (true they do not cover over 70 MPH boats) and often boat insurance coverage is just another Company working from their referrals.
