How to mount video camera on boat?
I know some of you have done this.....what is the best camera/casing (prefer digital camera less than $1K) to mount on a boat, and how to mount it on a 30 Sonic SS?
I want videos of my summer activities!

Ive also used a similiar system on my porsche when on the track. Mounted to the roll bar. Works best if your camera has some type of image stabilization.
I dont know how well something like this would work on a boat though. Think about how much it will move around. sky\water\sky\water\sky\water...........would probably be a recurring theme in your tapes. Has anyone out there tried a setup like this on a boat???

Having it TOTALLY stable will be the key to it working. The best thing that I can think of (and probably the cheapest) is to get a 12 volt VCR, and a CCTV camera (security). The cameras are VERY small to large and you can mount it up just about anywere. Just make a small place to mount the VCR and you are set
