Painting Fiberglass
It's time to put a coat of paint onto the old fiberglass dock box. It's just chalking too much and I really don't want to be out there waxing it. I want the paint to be maintenance free for a long time so I was thinking of a polyurathane, correct me if I'm wrong. Will a single part poly like Interlux hold up to the abuse or do I need to go with a two part paint?

To do it right, for that application, i would use URO prime by dupont, then paint with IMRON 333 series polyurithane. Its cheap imron, but make sure you use the accellerator.
Hope this helps

Sand with 320 single stage urathane it and be done with it. If you use a solid color you will not ever be able to tell it not base coat clear coat! Just my 2 cents as i would rather be boatin than painting! Unless you live in this F#*%ing snow S%$# cold A## state called OHIO!!!!!

I was thinking that a two part would be better. Naturally not having to prime would be best since I just told a friend what I was doing to mine and he wants me to do 40 at his condo. Now the quality and durability of the job is even more important.
