Default I'm beginning to think that Formula might just be a front for the Devil...

The Admiral and I put boating on hold for a few years so that she can stay home and tend to our (now) 1 year old daughter. It has always been our intention to get another boat, probably in a year or maybe two. But...

Formula keeps introducing these fantastic financing deals. And we really, really, really like the 280 SS - perfect for the type of boating we do (plus the insurance doesn't break you). The boat show is 3 weeks away, and I've got this little Scott Porter sitting on my shoulder, whispering "You could have it this year, you could, just price it out, the numbers might work...." And the bastard is wearing a red suit and horns, I tell ya!

Can anyone out there be my voice of reason????

Cool I can help...

Were not here for a long time, were here for a good time.......

An 80 year old customer of mine once told me, when your young
and you want something, get it, even if you have to borrow the money. He said when you get my age you'll have the money,
But you wont have the want.

I have my own saying, "live for today, but have an IRA"
Hope this helps......John

I listened to that Devil......now I have two boats, but don't regret getting the new one, just not getting rid of the old one sooner.

My problem is not knowing what kind of toys I'll want 15 years from now - cause I can estimate what the money I spend on a new boat today would give me.

We looked at 280's last year - nice boat. Lots of used ones on the market right now - 50K to 80K. Go cheap!

Troutly,

That's what scares me about a new boat. I took a pretty good hit when I sold my Powerquest after two years, even though I got a pretty damn good deal (at least, I thought so) on it.

Of course, it seems like the performance market is - and has been - in the crapper. It should be easier to sell a "family" boat like the SS (or is that the little devil talking )

The little devil reads your mind and tells you what you want to hear!

(What's that? A new 36 with 525EFI's. I do deserve it, don't I.)
