I know that I am nobody who should be posting this but this is something that is disturbing to me. I know that I do not post much but I do enjoy reading some of the posts. I am by no means a regular but this is insane that this is policed so strictly. I am begining to wonder what else that I have missed through this process which is in place by someone in which adds get moved or erased. What ever happened to fredom of speac? I mean if I were to get screwed by someone and put a derogatory post about a marina or person that the post would be deleted because of politics and that person or company could do it again. Or when something gets posted funny and its not even PG-13 rated it gets put to an area where people have to pay to see it. Or is this site turning into a porn site where you have to pay to see? I remember when this web site was started it was about people getting to know other people in the boating community to make that community stronger or at least that is what I though.

What determines what gets POOFED or deleted or moved. Where is the rule book or criterias

its less than the .25 cents I leave in the Coffee fund every morning. :p

From what I've seen, if the post has questionalble adult content, probably NC-17 and beyond , then it would get moved into the uncensored section so that unpaying minors that are on the site normally would not be able to view it. If you had a 13 year old, I don't think you would prefer them to see the "McDonalds" post.

On the other hand, posts that discuss problems with dealers or marinas would stick. Post that make personal jabs or derogatory personal statements really don't belong on a public forum anyways.

Just some thoghts.

I just assumed that there were all adults on this web site and all of us being boaters had a common bond and humor level. I don't think that post was bad too old i thought that was the funniest thing i have ever seen and just don't think it was unappropriate and needed to be policed

Making insulting or false statements about members example
"Phantom Chaos wishes he visited LOTO more often"
can be expected to be deleleted, cause this is false :D :D :D

Off the top of my head, I know of one memeber that is 12 years old (HyperBaja).......... :D :D

been over 7 years since I have been to a newsgroup posting, but I can assure you they are just as bad or worse then back then.
They let it all fly

here we have to remember that boating is a FAMILY sport, outing, partaking by many minors that may or may not be seeing everything.
Some prefer letting minors know it all
most parents would rather be the ones letting thier children what is good or not. OSO has many people, cultures, religions, and views from all of us.
I say it has been just right :)
