Default 2003 RPBA Poker Run (7/19/03)

Registration forms for the 2003 RPBA Poker Run are starting to be distributed. I emailed out two "batches" last night, and another 100+ copies are being mailed today. If you are not on any of our distribution lists, a form can be printed from

www.geocities.com/Richmondpba/Register

Details...

Our Poker Run begins at Jordan Point Marina in Hopewell, Va http://www.jordanpoint.com/ . The date is set for July 19th. We have a captains meeting at 9am (First card), and get the boats moving by 10am. Our typical boat sizes range from 22' to 50'.

Our second card stop is off historic Jamestown, Va.

We lunch at Smithfield Station http://www.smithfieldstation.com/ which is also our third card stop.

After lunch, we head down to Hampton and have our 4th card stop at the Hampton Tunnel. Some of the boats will then head into the Chesapeake Bay for some "air time", the smaller boats will head into the overnight dockage at the Hampton City Docks/Radisson Hotel.

We party on the docks until late afternoon, and then head to the pool-area at the Radisson for a cocktail party (with live band!), fifth card drawing, awards, and dinner.

Sunday is free time to get back to Hopewell, but most people get together and head to Anheuser Busch's Kings Mill waterfront restaurant for lunch, or one of the other many "Tiki"-type food stops in the Hampton/Norfolk/Va Beach area.

The cost is $275 per hand, and a hand is for TWO people. It includes grab bag, two t-shirts, two lunches, two dinners/banquets, and prizes. If you want an overnight slip in Hampton you must add that to your registration fee - $1.25/ft.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any other information..

I shouldn't have any commitments (daughter's graduation) this year so I'm planning on being there...
