HotBoat:
As you said, the Hemi is the 2500 motor. BUT - She wants a half-ton truck. The dealers in this area say you can get a special order 1/2 ton with the Hemi but it is a grand to get it and you will pay sticker for it (two guys who work for me have been to two different dealers asking).
I'm not about to try to talk her into a 3/4 ton truck.

Trout,
The wreck is nasty. My heart is with their family.

Budman,
The '69 Vette is a "joint venture" with a buddy who does frame-off restos. Buddy is also assisting in a frame-off of a '67 L87 convertible (16 ever made). This one is the ONLY red convertible with black interior of the 16. Numbers all match. Frame and drivetrain are complete. Body still undergoing work. The unit has a bid omn it for $225k when complete by a Concours judge (he was present when a sister L87 - blue coupe - went for $307k at auction recently). Looks like rare musclecars are on a big upswing again !

Dodge trucks had some major transmission problems a few years back. They have improved on their quality the last few years, but my opinion is they are still at the bottom.

Ford and Chevy both make good trucks. But, like I said, if you are looking at 1/2 ton trucks look at the Toyota Tundra. It's a little smaller, but it more than makes up for it with quality, ride and power.

What's UT's price range? Let HIM tell us, then we can talk you out of more expensive options...
