Am I loosing my mind???
OK I might be freaking out for nothing but here goes........
I went out to check the boat this morning and just turned the prop for some reason, well it was kinda hard to turn. Usually it just is easy to move back and forth, but took a little pressure to move it this time. Is this something to be worried about.......or am I just freaking out?

Ah ya think it may have anything to do with the fact it's 10 degrees out there!! I don't think I would want to turn to easy sitting in oil the consistancy of tar!
Now watch my sarcasim blow up in my face when you tell me it's 80 degrees and sunny where your located!

Sorry man I'm new as heck to this and I'm a definite work in progress. I'm in Mississippi. You are exactly right.......it's 10 dang degrees out, I guess that would have something to do with it. I just got worried when the cold front came in because the last thing I want to do is screw up the outdrive or engine. For some reason this morning i tried to turn the prop and when it took some pressure I thought i'd really screwed something up.

Don't mean to make you sound stupid(because that's how I feel sometimes), but sometimes when I get worried I find it is something very simple. Is the boat completely in neutral?

yeah it's in neutral....I think it's just the 10 degree weather that has the gear oil all nice and thick. Sometimes I feel like a complete idiot asking these questions.....but its the only way I'll learn.

Hey sorry I was not trying to make you feel like a idiot just going for the laugh
Never and I mean never feel like you are a idiot asking questions how else are we supposed to learn this stuff!
I learn more everday and sometimes have to ask too many times before it sinks in.
Most of my friends (boaters) and myself included are always ripping on each other in fun
