Unhappy The Calm Before the Storm

I left work Wednesday via an ambulance. Our building was having a false fire alarm and being as the ambulance was already there, I asked to use their services.
After struggling with my second kidney stone in 5 years, I wasn't about to try and drive myself.
I spent the rest of the day in the ER. It was much different from the first time. They did the blood work, urine samples and two EKG's. They were a bit concerned that my heart rate was in the 40's. (Must be all the excercise from the Lil' boat).
They 1st said they were going to do all these tests, but then at the end of the day they surprisingly gave me pain killers and sent me on my way... No tests at all?
Now I am waiting around quietly for the worst part to come.
It will probably come out during the SUPER Bowl...

Sharkey,

I have never had one but have heard horror stories! I hope it comes out quickly and as painlessly as possible.

Unhappy

I've been told that a hot bath and cold beer are the best combination to ease the pain. Best of luck...

Ouch! My wife gets kidney stones about once every few years, and it does not look like fun. Good luck Tim - drink lots of water! (But I'm sure you know that already!)

I agree about drinking water. When I had one I spent all day in the hospital and they would not let me drink. About 3:00pm my mother brought me a bottle of water. I sucked the whole thing down in 10 sec. 15 min. later, out she came, no fuss and no pain.

I can appreciate what you are gonig through. I had to have one surgiclly removed three months ago due to it's size. No fun at all.
Still have a small one, but they can blast it easily.

Best of luck, and please not during the super bowl!
