gotta be more specific.
single or twin?
size range (you can technically trailer a 63 Sunseeker..)
price range ?

most 30 foot twin smallblock sterndrive express cruisers will run close to 50 with top factory power options.

Rinker makes a very usable small cruiser in that range (although I would REALLY try to hug closer to the 30' line). The singles are not fast - so don't fool yourself. Twin 4.3's actually perform quite well, but they are louder and buzzier than a single B3 Bigblock. Figure 30 for a smallblock, high 30's for a big block, and low 40's for twin 4.3s.

A 24' cruiser is a crossover boat. Just enough cruiser that it won't go fast, and not enough cruiser to give you any usability.

Unless somebody out ther OWNS a 24' cruiser in which case your boat is awesome (not interested in starting a fight today).

I actually prefer the cheaper Rinkers and Regals in the 25-30' cruiser range over the more expensive mfrs out there. For what you're after, I think they are kings of value.

Friend bought a 95 28 Rinker - single 454 - 200 hours for $18,000 this summer. Raging bargain. Barely adequate performance. He added a Stingray fin and planing time was cut in half with no loss in top speed.

I'm not that familiar with the Rinkers, but the Regals have a 26' with twin 4.3L that's suppose to do over 50mph.

They're the only cruiser I know of with a stepped hull.

I once saw a 28' Sea Ray with twin Hp500efi's. Is that what you're looking for?
