Seating options ?

I'm considering replacing the seats in my boat and don't have the need or option of using bolsters. What is available from most boat seating manufacturers is pedestal or leaning post styles.

My application uses a short pedestal appx 1' mounted to raised fibergass bases at both front stations. What I was considering were some of th eupscale racing seats designed for automotive applications. Many are available in materials which would withstand a water enviroment. Sice they are for racing applications they would be structually suitable fo rmarine also I'd think.

Anyone out there ever considered this as a option or have other thoughs ?

Think outside the box.

How bout you roll all the passengers up in a big tortilla like they do on MTV spring break. Then you can ty-wrap the whole passenger-rito to some kind of post or really tall ski-tow like a Mastercraft has.

If there are some short passengers, you can tear a hole near their head so they can see out.

For the driver seat, get a rocker/recliner (Lane and Flexsteel both make quality units) and bolt it to the stringers. That way, even smooth water will feel exciting.

You'll be the envy of all yor friends.

I really think the Panasonic massage chair would be the way to go and still cheaper than most bolsters at about $2500 each!

We are putting Sparco seats in our cat. They make one that is high backed, good support, and has a fiberglass shell. They are about 300 bucks. Sparco Seats
