Project Boat

I am looking a 1997 252 Baja Cuddy. Wanting to get some ideas on what I am looking at cost wise to fix some appearence features of this boat. The hull has some blister areas on it and a few minor scratches, what am I am looking a price wise to fix the blisters? The boat has been sitting outside with only a cockpit cover on it sense June of last year so the vinyl has some wear and tear on it. I was looking at replacing all the vinyl, so curious what they would be cost wise?

well.. without seeing the boat, i would guess re-do all upholstery (bolsters, bench seat, sun pad and any side cushions.)depends on sewing complexity and different colors.
approx 2,500.00. - 3,500.00

Blisters and scratches.... again , w/o seeing the boat, probably 20 man hours @ 70 = 1,400.00.

just an estimate

I though baja had a problem with blistering a few years back could be a big problem? I would check out the oso baja forum ask around. good luck!

Before I sold my 1996 252 Islander, I re-upholstered the sunpad at a cost of $430.00 (matched the exact pattern of purple, blue and turquois stock sun pad), I also re-upholstered the bench seat ALL WHITE for a cost of $175. When I say bench seat I only mean the part you sit on. I shopped around a lot. There are a lot of upholstery shops out there, you just have to be careful that you find one that does quality work. I used a small mom and pop shop and they did a good job. I took the sun pad and bench seat off and brought it to them instead of having them take it out. My bolster seats were fine, I know that when you get into reupholstering those, you start getting into a lot of money. Eric
