I still don't understand the steps all the way up front. What is there use? It seems that part of the hull is almost always out of the water. Do they help it get up on plane? Can someone explain. Dave?

I think the steps that far forward are because the Innovator is a test bed for the ss396 and ss366.When they add the extra 8 feet the step will be in the right spot.
