I always liked them, i got hooked from the miami vice days...the scarab and the cary 50 from the race, but it seems some of the newer boats w them look like they are too small for the boat, or if inverted it looks to far forward(like your pic sorry) to have one would be just for looks for me, no radar crap, but the opinion of the majority would be a concern, because lets face it the cooler the boat looks and neatness, and performance is where its at,

Normally I would say NO but with the size of that boat and the VERY NICE GRAPHICS you have chosen I say GO FOR IT!!!!

Looks good either way. I like arches when they serve a purpose. They're great for mounting speakers and cockpit lighting. They also give you a place to stow a bimini.

Order the arch. If you decide you don't like the look, it's a two minute sawzall conversion. :D :D

Wow thanks for all the comments and your brutal honisty (Scott) :D :D I started thinking of it when I was looking for a chart plotter. The radar option could prove a life saver but for the most part I will not be going on long extended trips. I guess I will pass at this time, If I need it later I could always add it on.

I can see the usefullness for towels, lights and canopies ect... When I think of all the boats I have seen them on it looks better on longer boats for sure.

I think the arc on the 47 is sweet, on a small boat I would say no, but on the 47, oh yea.:D
