Default OT: Neat Tip for Ford Super Duty Owners

Does that annoying seat belt minder chiming in every 30 secs bug the crap out of you?......

Here's how to permanently disable it:

1. Set Parking Brake.
2. Turn key to ON but do NOT start. Wait for the seat belt light to go off. (NOTE: This could take 30+ seconds before the light goes off. Be patient.)
3. You have 60 seconds to complete the next task.
4. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 times ending with the belt UNbuckled.
5. Turn on the headlight and then turn them off.
6. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt 3 more times ending with it UNbuckled.
7. Watch the dash as the seat belt light will illuminate.
8. Within 7 seconds of the light going out, buckle then unbuckle the seat belt.
9. The light will now flash for a short while indicating you're done.

I just did it and it works!!

Default You forgot one step

You have to insert three good size driveway stones in the tread of your left boot/shoe, and spin on this boot while standing on the hood of your new truck.
That should take care of it..

It mostly drives me crazy when I'm getting in and out of the truck backing, parking the boat and these events that it drives me crazy... sometimes I don't know if it's my backup warning beeps or the seatbelt..... On they highway, it didn't pose a problem.... absolutely love those backup sensors!!!!

You could allways go to Mike T and get a chip that will make your truck a lot faster, and have him program it to get rid of the chime.

It does work. You can also stop the locks from locking automaticlly. I did both. I ALWAYS wear my belt, I don't need a stupid chime to remind me. Plus what else do you do while you wait to start....the back up signal is nice until it gets snow on it then you are always shutting it off. I stopped the seat belt because it scared the hell out of me if I was just moving the truck or backing up to the trailer..the light still comes on. All this is in your manual, make sure it is open to the right page as this may take a few times to get it. You can also extent the auto lights to stay on longer. If you want to know more than the designers of these just go to TheDieselStop.com. These guys are great. Another one is pull the fuse for the 4x4 and you can get 2 wheel low.
