O\T Paint removal?
 

I know this is gonna sound stupid but here goes.....

I painted my garage floor about a yr ago and just put plain gray concrete paint down....I didn't seal it or put any prep stuff down.....stupid me I know. Well now I know what I should have done, but its a little too late. Now the paint is peeling off of course and the garage looks like crap. I thought about putting down a pad to cover the whole garage floor...but I wanna do it right and just remove this paint. Question is.......how? Someone mentioned to me that there is some kinda acid stuff I can get from a pool shop (don't know the name) and it will remove it. I just need something, the easier the better, to remove this paint totally off my garage floor. Anybody have any ideas.....or done a bonehead thing like this before :)

I bet you could rent a bead blaster, and take care of it that way.

can you waterblast the remaining paint off?

They make paint stripper for cement. Have fun its messy though, and don't get it on your skin it startd to burn after a few seconds.

Get come commercially available "Aircraft Stripper" from a local paint supply store...Brush it on, wait and hose it off.

Just be carefully, it may smoke little and generally stink up the place. Ventilate well.

The stuff is a gel type liquid and works great!

HIGH pressure water blaster.

Yup, a good pressure washer is prolly the least messy best bet.

Rent a commercial floor scrubber, and get some sand screen disks. Then with some stripper scrub the floor. That will loosen up the paint, and then you can wet vac it up.

Then rice with water and scrub it again. Finally rice and re wet vac. You may have to repeat the process a few times.

I'm thinking a good pressure washer maybe....i'll probably have to rent one in order to get the job done right. I can't afford to buy one with high enough pressure. I was thinking of doing the stripper but I'm sure that'll be messy and take a lot of time.
