Last fall I put in a kenwood cd player and 4 speakers, better then what was in the boat. But I don't spend much time sitting in the boat to use it.

I would rather listen to 110+ decibles of SBC

Clarion marine head unit, clarion 6pack changer, two HiFonics 500 watt 2 channel amps, one driving two 10 in subs in boxes under the deck, the other driving 4 Planet audio 6.5" 2 ways. Far from the loudest boom boom system around but exceptionally well balanced and crystal clear. Never actually listen to it over idle speed though.

Default Boat Sound system

I have an
Eclipse Head unit
Threw out the CD changer and installed an
iPod with 3000 songs loaded. Never skips a
beat out in the ocean!

Old Soundstream 405 5 ch amp.
6 Infiniti Kappa's 2X6x9 and 4 6" (I think)

In the tow vehicle I have
the Eclipse head unit
4 ch Zapco 360 amp
Infiniti kappa's and
JL Sub.

The Zapco kicks butt

Here is the link to Andy Buzz's store. He is going to install a stereo in my boat this week. I will post some pictures after. Not quite sure how crazy I am going to get.

Andy does great work if your in the Tampa Bay area. Best of all is he is a fellow OSO'er and gives you a discount. He has done the audio/visiual stuff in my auto's for years.

Update.... replaced the Kenwood head unit with a JVC with sub control. Sounds better than the Kenwood. It also has a much easier to use remote.
