I believe George's computer was lost in the fire...and he is still recovering.... I will print these out and get them to him.
I know he appreciates your kind thoughts...........
I will post an address where he and his family can receive cards as soon as they stabilize on a temporary location.
Thanks to all.

George,
Our best wishes for a speedy recovery, and resettlement. And Our condolences on the loss of your family friend. Dad says anyone with a head that hard should recover quickly. (Bench fall at shop in S.C.) Hopefully A little humor at a time its needed. If we can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to call.
Best regards & Get well soon...

I just spoke to George and Ilsa. He has been released from the hospital and has some serious healing to do. I read your messages to him over the phone and he promises to reply as soon as he has access to a computer. At present the recovery people have taken away all of the remaining posessions for deodorizing and cleaning. The family is safe in a local Marriott Guest Quarters and expect to have more permanent (though temporary) digs shortly. The insurance company has responded quickly and positively on all fronts so far.
For the time being all he needs is rest and healing...... and to be thankful for avoiding what could have been far worse.

I can't tell express how much this hurts me to hear. I have worked with George Linder for over 12 years mostly on the phone working on safety and improving the racing that we love and participate in... I personally have never even met George Linder in person but I have had so in many hours of phone conversations with George, it can't begin to tell you what he has taught me... And as Rich stated, he has always provided his knowleged without any financial gain what so ever, only his love for the sport and its safety...
I'm really am very saddened to hear this...
George, my thoughts and prayers go out to you, and I wish you a compelet and even stronger than before recovery...
Ben

Earlier I spoke to T2x about George’s prognosis. Reading Ben’s comments about George Linder really says it all. The thought that we almost lost George in this terrible fire is very sobering. What a tragic lost of a great man that would have been. George always finds the time to take everyone’s phone calls, always has the time to answer the questions, and genuinely enjoys his passion, boat racing, designing, and the pursuit of safety. George and Ilsa, Kim and I pray for you both.
