Default GPS

I have a brand new Garmin 162 that I had installed in my new boat, but I want a new color unit. I will sale it for $300 with all the cords and external antenae. Trust me though, the black and white units do not do well in bright sun light. I had mine on and my buddy brought his new color unit on a plate with suction cups and put it next to mine (his had the charts) and there was no comparison.

Verizon just installed them in all the technician's trucks tonight. It should get quite interesting in the next few months.... They will now be able to pull up a full day's report of where the trucks have been, how fast we drive etc.

I have the Lowrance GPS/Chart Plotter/Depth Finder. Paid $700.00 for it @ Boat US. Will do water temp too with additional sensor. Does everything ! Very nice unit. Comes with software so you can download your area of cruise into the unit. Also comes with a magnet so you can put the antenna on the car if you wanted to use it in an automotive app. Also came with a nice sturdy cary/storage case.

Have had it for 3 years. Works great, very accurate as far as markers etc. Worth the $$$$$. You can split the screen and have a view of the bottom & depth along with your course at the same time. I used the transducer that came with the unit and mounted it inside the hull. I have been as fast as 65mph and the depth finder and bottom view still showed up. Past 65 I lost the depth finder and bottom pic. GPS chart still worked fine.........
