audacity 03-16-2003 08:26 AM

CAP071 03-16-2003 08:32 AM

Who knows what might come about with this sport. With all these young boy bands and the $$$ more may jump on board. I noticed lots of them are pre-disney kids and from Florida area

audacity 03-16-2003 08:36 AM

not too sure...phil(driver)and his wife went to the DONZI/O-Town party last night...guess it was a lot of fun!...2 of the guys were there from the band. They are all about this years race season! i really think offshore racing is going in a new direction!

CAP071 03-16-2003 08:41 AM

I agree it's going in a new direction, We will have to wait n see what this sport is like in a few more years and see what impact all these changes have on it.

I just wish there was more around here In Philadelphia area. But oh well what an excuse to head south :D

well I'm off to head up to Trenton Marine now to pick up my spring tune up stuff and go checkout the outerlimits they have for sale (wishful thinkin):crazy:

Interesting that this thread would pop back up, I just finished a 5k this morning. Time was nothing to brag about but;
a I finished
b i was under a 9 min mile avg.

florida gator 03-16-2003 05:21 PM

Great job. Keep it up. If they have any road races where you are it's motivating to enter them. You'll meet people with similar skill so if you're competitive you try to get the edge. Usually girls with great bodies too.

audacity 03-17-2003 06:15 AM

funny,,,people don't realize cardio can set ya back. man 15 1/2 weeks of running....man....i hate run'n. i get shin splints like there is no tomorrow!

florida gator 03-17-2003 07:17 AM

Audacity, I hate it too. That's part of the reason I enter the 5ks. It gives me something to run for. The shin splints will go away after a while with some consistant running.

dyno 03-17-2003 12:44 PM

dump the treadmill and jump on a Bike! you wont have the shin problems anymore! not a stationary bike either the one that goes down the road...amazing how much better I feel when I'm actually going somewhere. I ride to work when the weather permits about 11 miles each way great for your health and better on my gas fund for the weekend!
